At the moment we are unable to offer a full scope of services with our home visits such as taking x-rays or doing fillings. If we notice that you child may be at risk of tooth decay or other dental health issue and these are beyond our current offered services, we will advise you see your family dental clinic for follow up care. We are happy to provide a summary of our visit for you to take to your appointment. The Smile Therapist is not affiliated with any other dental clinic and the cost for any further dental treatment will be the parent/carer responsibility. Payment Policy Our appointments are in high demand, so we suggest booking in advance. When our demand exceeds appointment availability we will happily place you on a waiting list as we sometimes have cancellations, or we will call you as soon as an appointment becomes available.
All appointments require a deposit to secure our time:
Child dental service appointment deposit is $50
Teeth whitening appointment deposit is $200
Dental Health Coaching session is payment in full $49
Dental Health Education workshop deposit is $150
The deposit will come off the total, with the balance due on the day of the appointment. We accept cash, EFTPOS or direct deposit. We currently are unable to accept Amex.
As we are a mobile service and we take an extended time with all our patients, we are unable to bulk bill. If you have private health insurance some funds may offer a rebate for our services but this will depend on the fund and your level of cover. Being a mobile business we are unable to offer HICAPS, however if you can claim any rebates, once the account is paid in full we will email you an itemised receipt for processing with your health fund. If you are eligible for Medicare’s Child Dental Benefit Scheme (CDBS), you will need to pay the account in full and after the appointment we will email you an itemised receipt for you to process with Medicare. CDBS may not cover the full cost and you may have out of pocket expenses.
Cancellation Policy We are an in demand mobile business trying to accommodate as many as possible. We understand life happens and you may need to cancel or change your appointment time. We kindly ask if you are unable to make your appointment please let us know with a minimum 24 hours notice. Cancellations with less than 24hours notice or failed to attend (you are not home when we arrive) will forfeit any appointment deposit paid.
